  • Not much to see of this Abbey if we do not visit, to know how it works, the sign at the entrance is not especially clear in his explanations... Then we saw the ruins of the old Abbey Church and the new church which is open permanently. The shop as it opens at 14:30. She is busy, there is a large part of MONASTIC products, in addition to beer and wax (which is no longer manufactured on-site!)

  • We had the chance to do a very informative tour and which allows to see inaccessible spaces free visit. It's a follow-up visit of the Abbey of Jumièges, that can be done in the same day. Very rich store of books.

  • The ruins of the Church are free as the monastery is still in business, better ask a tour, because this allows to see a part of the Interior which is royal. The shop opposite the reception is fine. A walk along the river is from the parking near the wall.

  • For the record Marc beer Mount of the Cats is brewed at the Abbey of Scourmont (Chimay), so in Belgium... It is marked on the label. The monk was so right!

  • This February 19 a monk said on TV that his Abbey is the only BREW beer in France however the Abbey of Mount of the Cats near Bailleul in the North has brewed in around 1865. then after a stop resumed its production of Trappist beer!
