Guided by a young woman with an accent very pronounced so hard to understand. In addition, no historical and religious explanations for the site. A kindergarten student would have done better. In conclusion, we have strictly nothing learned from the Abbey of Saint Wandrille. If you did see, run away.

The Abbey and the village in full are a very nice break during a walk in the Valley of the Seine. The buildings are beautiful, and all invites to rest and quiet. Remember a passage by the shop of the Abbey which has a nice selection of monastic products, including an excellent beer brewed by the monks on the spot!

The Abbey of St. Wandrille is a site that invites to meditation by its calm and its environment. Free visit of the ruins and the garden with the Chapel and the cemetery. Possibility of a guided tour (forecourt, courtyard and cloister) If you like Gregorian chants, attend Vespers at 5:30, it's beautiful. And to finish this tour, a shop you waiting for a few meters away where you can find local products, religious objects, books... and the beer of Saint Wandrille. Don't miss the St. Michael's Church in front of the Abbey.

Nice place rich of stories too bad we do not visit much including the refectory that would set off the biggest of Normandy and completely renovated! Very interesting guide

Ideal place for rest or physical and spiritual healing. Steeped in history, feel free to go visit this place, and ask a brother to guide you. Then go attend an office in Gregorian, appreciate the beauty of the songs I says it's a Benedictine Abbey. To see and listen to.

Only for those to recommend who have sincere interest in the life of the monks. Otherwise culturally and historically not very significant.
