  • Very nice with explanations on the visit to the Museum, the vulture is a poorly known animal that yet worth to be admired! Very beautiful video images well commented by an ornithologist passionate about his job coming to also help you to spot vultures with the telescopes available. Without forgotten the Jonte gorges view, from the different terraces, which is magical! A must if you're in Lozère.

  • Nice place which teach a lot about vultures race, good infographics, recorded films of a baby vulture and some species, but you can also see them live !
  • Unfortunately it was closed when we visited, but great views and a lovely place
  • This place has excellent displays of information about the vultures which live in or visit the area. An English language brochure was very useful though much information in the exhibition areas was in French. We learnt about the extinction of griffon vultures and the difficulties of reintroducing them. These days the vultures are easy to see above the gorges but from the Belvedere the telescopes give a close-up view of a nest area with a chick waiting for food from its parents. An expert guide was there to explain and to aim the telescopes. I thought the fee charged was well worth paying. At busy times you might have difficulty parking in the small car park.
  • Very beautiful landscape, see the animals in their environment is a plus. The visit of the part "Museum" and a specialist helps a lot.

  • The videos are dated in low definition (in the area of the HD😕). The welcome is friendly, the locals are friendly). Pedagogically speaking nothing revolutionary (for those who had a high consumption of nature documentaries). "Birdwatchers" helps you direct your benefitted glasses in the right direction but there is not really live videos, far from it and instead a video dated a few vultures (minimum 20 minutes). The site (belvedere) offers a grand view of the jonte gorges. In summary: videos online are non-existent (even less in the nests). The videos are VHS quality. The long views need to be more powerful.
