  • One of the few museums in the Perigord, whose passionate owners make the visit. Surprising rooms crammed with finds. Loved the menu for the visit of the president of the Republic and the amazing story of Secrestat. The lightning is impressive. Children can visit because everything is planned. Walked away with the rosette, perfect for an aperitif.

  • This is a surprisingly interesting place to visit. Though the cultivation of wine has disappeared from this area, that has helped to preserve this winery very well. After it closed in the 1960’s nothing happened here for decades. It allows you to step back in time, visit the wooden interior, especially the wooden wine making vats are spectacular. The wooden vats are huge, and one floor up you will see the press that can be moved over iron rails, as can the grape-carts coming in. The wood-frame is beautifully made. In the former storage areas a collection of utensils and historic photographs tell the story of wine production and the particular products produced here. There are exploratory activities for children, though you might need someone to translate the French instructions.
  • Very interesting and surprising in the Dordogne: a chai, the beginnings of the industrial era and simple but rich explanations by the owner and promoter of the museum itself. To what meditate on industrial humanism and the valorisation of knowledge... all in an architecture authentic, in remarkable condition. 14-79 years, we all found our account! The parking is a bit far, but do not hesitate to drop before the esplanade of the cellar... and there are chairs throughout the visit.

  • August 2016 a pleasant visit and very interesting conducted by the owner himself who between explanations and anecdotes has captured us. JH Secrestat: a boss you would like to see again in our time!

  • It is a very nice site, visit is not too long, easy access for wheelchairs. The explanations are clear, we loved with my residents. Very friendly while we refer with pleasure thanks to the sympathy of this couple.
