Chateau de Crussol, Saint-Peray

(4.6/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
An explosion in a quarry below Chateau de Crussol severely damaged part of the structure, but what remains is a testament to 12th-century architecture and engineering. In the 11th century, the castle was important in controlling transport along the Rhone River. It was lit on fire dozens of times during France's religious wars in the 16th century. Today you can tour the mostly ruined complex yourself all year round, and guided tours are available in the summer months. Make Chateau de Crussol a part of your Saint-Peray vacation plans using our Saint-Peray trip builder.

  • ... on the plain of Valencia until the Vercors and even some high peaks of the Alps... A little bit of sport to go up to the top and enjoy.

  • I much appreciated the view. A nice ballad which has the merit to be made if you pass by Valencia.

  • Very close to Valencia, which has seen Chuck will seduce you with its history and its location overlooking the Valley of the Rhone.les hikers will be able to browse the Ridge which extends this promontory by a loop, bringing back them to the starting point. Be careful because some passages can be tricky.

  • One of my favorite places in the Ardeche. You can easily walk around in the area. With some imagination you reconstruct the castle. A lot of elements are still existing (but remain a ruin :-). On top of the castle let you eyes wander around. On good days you can see the Rhone valley, the Vercors and even the Alpes. Simon Visit my website: www.noireblanc.de
