Abbaye à visiter pour 5€ (même le dimanche après-midi) avec un beau cloitre. Il y a beaucoup d'explications et on peut visiter pas mal de lieu. There are many explanations and can be visited quite a place. It is clean, but the Abbey is in terrible shape (compared to other religious buildings that we could visit nearby). However this Abbey smells beautifully because she was very well stocked in flowers of all kinds which change from the ordinary!
There appears to be two references to this Abbey so I will write in both. The top of his head is missing!!! Why would this not appeal to small boys? There are icons and pictures everywhere. The entran... more »
Beautiful discovery. It's a really beautiful places and we feel responsible for history. The price of €5 is reasonable, it is normal to contribute to the maintenance, especially since the place is needed. The visit is well-organized, we discover objects and sculptures well presented. The cloister is very beautiful, each column in a different tent, and there is an atmosphere conducive to the receuilement. An outside party is in the works so we can't see the primitive front door of the Church, but there is a part of the Church which has been restored with care, there still everything is explained on signs, it's interesting and informative. Pity that this beautiful building was renovated as the traces of remaining paint on some parts give a glimpse of what it was.
Beautiful Abbey with a beautiful cloister. It was founded in the 8th century. Its name comes from Saint Papoul, disciple of San Saturnino, the first bishop of Toulouse in the 3rd century. It consists of a Romanesque church and a cloister which are capitals of the famous sculptor Maître de Cabestany (12th century).
A rustic and pleasant environment, an Abbey which deserves a hook. Restorations that embellish the site. We enjoyed this tour and took the time to read the explanations. the admission seemed a little expensive anyway (the site is not very large): €5. If this rate is necessary for the maintenance of the site... €4 for people Oh (hic)
A great night tour of the historic mixing acrobatic show and comments on the occasion of circus: laughter and heritage
Great Abbey. And beautiful exhibitions
