Trip Planner: Europe / France / Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes / Puy-de-Dome / Saint-Ours / Childrens Museums / Vulcania
A new amusement park dedicated to volcanoes, Vulcania, combines scientific discovery and family tourism with a virtual tour and discovery trails to explore the history. You and your children will love the indoor simulators that take you on a flight over a super volcano in Mission Toba. Remember to visit the legends of the underworld on the Dragon Ride and face the harshest elements in the Angry Earth series. Ride the VolcanBul, an outdoor electric vehicle that explores the Chaîne des Puys, look at the geyser, and step into the greenhouse with sub-tropical and ancient volcanic environments. Put Vulcania into our Saint-Ours trip generator to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Saint-Ours.

It is accessible to children as fun! they have appreciated the proposed activities that the whole family can do together. If one of the children is younger (that is our case) specific places are available. The water inside was unanimous! There is a lot of time to spend in this park. the young guide in the train was very friendly and the uninteresting explanations. It's a pity that the day of our visit, the sky was capricious, depriving us of the view of the volcanoes. given that it was cold, we don't have been able to watch the shows on offer at night as well as the fireworks. the Park is located in a beautiful place. to do!

Note the handy switch baby for parents with young children: possibility for 2 parents to enjoy the attractions without Queuing 2 times. We recommend for families with children.

Frankly, apart from a few (very well done) videos on the big screen and some animations by staff for the young, it has nothing extraordinary. I am rather disappointed.
Vulcania is not your typical kind of amusement park. Almost all of the attractions are under ground level, making it enjoyable when it's hot or when it rains. Waiting times or not too long as most of the attractions have a good throughput. I recommend the park to parents with children age 6 to 12. During summer time, there are events on multiple occasions. Check these dates as it offers extra value for money.
Great entertainment park to discover the area. A lot of 3D movies. A surprisingly interesting place for kids.
Amazing facility but unless you are fluent in French you will not get value for money at €90 for a family of four. All signs, information and literature are written in French with no translations. The workshops, talks and experiments are all in French also. This is obviously understandable with it being in France but although there is audio equipment available for translations, it is limited. This should be made clear to non-Fench speakers before payment is accepted. That said, for the French this is a great place to visit.
Spectacular. Mostly oriented towards young children.
I was pleasantly surprised by this park. There were lots of activities for kids of all ages and adults. We went there on a rainy day expecting it to be a waste of time. However, it was completely the opposite. This is a place you can visit on a rainy day with no problem and no loss of quality.
