Parc Alpha, Saint Martin-Vesubie
(3.5/5 based on 460 reviews on the web)
Parc Alpha offers an intimate look at the famous wolves of Mercantour, also known as the Alpha Wolves of France. These creatures returned to the French mountains in the early 1990s and have remained here since. About 12 hectares (29.7 acres) in Mercantour National Park have been enclosed to help perpetuate three packs--more than three dozen individual wolves. In this semi-wild environment, they coexist with the forest's existing predators. Ask about feeding opportunities. Kids will enjoy this attraction, but it's not designed for strollers. • A park to see! Peace and respect for animals is good. The teams seem to respect the wild side of the wolves, and it is significant! In addition, trainers explain very well the current controversies about the Wolf. We came 3 times and each time we are seduced by the place, the atmosphere, the beautiful setting and the beauty of animals! A true return to nature to 2 not this region if concrete...

  • Curious Park where nothing happens. Wolves are only visible when you feed them but still must he be able to approach the window where all visitors are clustered. On-site dining is expensive and not terrible, the shop offers made in china at prohibitive prices. And finally... It is far from Nice. I highly recommend.

  • From the Loir-and-Cher, I was repeatedly at the Beauval zoo where I lived wonderful experiences in family for only 18 euros and for a full day, with many performances with sea lions, falcons... Resident recently in the Maritime Alps, the idea to go to the Alpha Park with my two children aged 14 and 19 seemed attractive and original. What a disappointment to realize that there is no more to see and do at 11:15 and 12: 00 after the feeding of wolves! A few pieces of meat thrown to the wolves who seemed to be "conditioned" and wait patiently for their meal! And again, we have found them just because there was a crowd uncivil and undisciplined though with windows! For the snack, forget everything simply! No choice and exorbitant prices. Better bring his picnic!
