Parc Alpha, Saint Martin-Vesubie

3.5
#1 of 75 in Things to do in Alpes Maritimes
Wildlife Area Nature / Park
Parc Alpha offers an intimate look at the famous wolves of Mercantour, also known as the Alpha Wolves of France. These creatures returned to the French mountains in the early 1990s and have remained here since. About 12 hectares (29.7 acres) in Mercantour National Park have been enclosed to help perpetuate three packs--more than three dozen individual wolves. In this semi-wild environment, they coexist with the forest's existing predators. Ask about feeding opportunities. Kids will enjoy this attraction, but it's not designed for strollers.
