Religious Site
Currently a Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to Saint Vincent of Saragossa, St Vincent Cathedral is a Romanesque cathedral that has been managed by the monks of Marmoutier since 1108. The pulpit dates from the 18th century, and the western façade of the nave has neo-Classical décor from the 18th century. Housed in the spire are four bells, and many modern renovations adorn this place of worship. The key to this cathedral is listening to its Korg organ playing ancient French and German repertoire. • Very well restored after being damaged in World War 2. and the time it took to complete all the restoration , interesting split level floors. Do Pay a Visit.  more »
  • The cathedral is lovely, as is this charming medieval walled town with its rich history. Tour the ramparts and learn about how the site developed, why pirates stayed there. ,  more »
  • The doors are kept tightly shut and the lady in front of us had a job to open one. There was no written English descriptions of anything, I would not have minded buying an English leaflet. The stained...  more »

  • The final resting place of Jacques Cartier. A beautiful Cathedral with some excellent stained glass. It's amazing that the place's corners aren't square. The whole thing is a bit of a rhombus.
  • Beautiful cathedral with very beautiful colored windows
  • In such a good state, and so beautiful!
  • Very nice building or I come myself but where I unfortunately was today Sunday, October 2, abused verbally with slight blow to support by an old woman who has not appreciated the laptop on my lap, cell phone on vibrate I said and that I used to read quietly. The mass was over, there was almost no one. Very violent and shocking in the House of God. I wonder if I should report the fact to the priest of the Cathedral.

  • admission is free and well worth a visit. Compared to everything the France is not the most exciting but still remains an excellent example of religious architecture
