  • The walk at low tide by the sea is really worthwhile and you can enjoy great views of the city from the Fort. The explanations of the guides are quite neat, offer but if you have a guide to the Fort National or Fort la latte made with little new, because also there Vauban is entered on the strategic ideas. It has in itself the way over the cliffs to the Fort - flip-flops is also discouraged as by a visit to a physical impairment (knees, joints,...).

  • the site, as the owner, both are great, you just do not be afraid to get your feet wet when the tide is a little high

  • Small Fort next to the fortified city. Beautiful view of the 4 corners. Visit interesting. Watch the tide, always, in this town!

  • wait for the low tide (WARNING - if you get stuck there, you will have to wait for the low tide). generally you can walk at around 30 minutes before the low tide, then I am not sure how long it remains the same. I guess you have 1 hour to explore the small island by foot, more if you are a bit adventurous!
  • Outstanding visit across the water at low tide, you can even spend a night at the fort alone sleeping in the old military barracks with no electricity. Well worth a visit just to understand the military value and get a real feel for the area. From Australia.
  • Très belle histoire
  • visite très intéressante !
  • The excursion to the island of Petit Bé worthwhile in any case (warning: possible only at low tide/low tide walk). Whether you want to pay 6 euros for the admission to the Fort must itself decide. Apart from the views there is nothing great to see, and the short guide included in the entrance fee (in French and English only) was "Unfortunately".
