  • Very nice outside building that is worth trying. just like the village of Saint-Lizier. Magnificent. The Interior of the Palace of bishops more like an exhibition twenty-first century has a discovery of the past. Too bad for having made this Palace a modern place of exhibitions. Indeed, it destroys the charge found outdoors. The tour continues by the outside (cloister, former asylum and especially the Cathedral with its stunning renovated frescoes!) Splendid! Always outside, a belvedere offers a view of the most superb. A perfect welcome! A lovely lady that took its time for us guide in all that it would be interesting to do in Ariège. We have followed his advice and have not been disappointed! Thanks to her! In short, a nice visit to do once.

  • Worth visiting if in the village as a beautiful and charming church with some wall paintings and delightful cloisters  more »
  • Girl Admin allowed to explore the Museum and the Cathedral, in spite of the fact that we arrived 10 minutes before the lunch break. Thanks to her! On the territory of the former Palace of the Bishops of Saint of Lisieux is an interesting Museum of the Ariège Department, dedicated to the local history from the Roman conquest to the 20th century. Among all French museums here the most illustrative and clear exposition on decorative painting interiors. Special attention should be paid to the Cathedral with beautiful murals, who discovered during the restoration under the wooden sheathing. There is a Hall of contemporary art. And an excellent Belvedere with beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. The Museum is accessible for disabled guests. In two steps.
