  • How wonderful this oppidum. certainly one of the largest updated (at least in France) and which gives important information about our ancestors the Gauls who were anything but barbarians! The site is huge, and it's more enjoyable to walk all by learning history. In addition to being on a height, (like all the oppida) can also enjoy the scenery nearby. Some parts have been protected from the weather, and it's a good thing. I recommend to all lovers of history, the ballad's worth!

  • The modern Museum tells the history of the town of Bibracte in a fun way with re-enactments to increase immersion. The archaeological site is a must-see!

  • It's probably the first lesson to remember after the visit of the site and the Museum: our ancestors were not the barbarians too often described us... The course in the Museum is well done and very informative. And do not spoil, the architecture is successful. The temporary exhibition on "An African iron age" is also exciting, but ends mid-November...

  • Excellent museography, audio and visual guides, interactive screens and a wonderful in-depth exploration of the Celtic civilisation in general, beyond Bibracte. Fantastic. Also - great introduction to archaeology. A must-see in the region.
  • A fantastic place to visit if you are interested in Julius Caesar, the Roman Empire, or the Celts. I could have spent weeks here and still not seen all I wanted to.
  • I had suffered, that it was a must for this region, and that you should take off half a day for, unfortunately there was a half day to little, to view the route. For that you're on the route begins, the museum is a condition, to the history of the region and the excavations. If you've visited, you can also find here everything about in the surrounding places. Autun speaks even then. Even suitable for children. (apart from duimedraaïers).

  • The Museum on mont Beuvray is beautifully crafted and is a fine setting for the "Celtic civilization". If the set is interesting, strong and sometimes original, is still a bit indigestible and difficult to follow. However there are interesting.
