Tourist Spot Ranch / Farm
Sample distinctive ciders at Ferme de la Sapiniere, a family farm with a shop offering a variety of homemade foodstuffs. Located in a traditional two-story stone house close to Omaha Beach, the shop treats customers with generous tastings. Run by two brothers from a family of sixth-generation cider producers, the farm cultivates and processes over 30 varieties of apple. Explore bottles of Calvados, pear, and apple liqueurs, and taste the farm's famous cidre bouché. Take a tour of the farm, see cider-making equipment, and learn about the elaborate process. • The cider, the pommeau, the calvados and the local meat products are absolutely recommendable as those are very reasonable as well as very delicious. I will certainly come back and bring others.  more »
  • Off the beaten path, didn't really know this was here but great stop and it was warm where we were freezing outside. Try the apple liquor made in this area, warms you right up!  more »
  • Small family run business with 300 different apple varieties blended to make some superb cider and calvados. They speak great English and the tour was extremely informative. I didn't realise that the ...  more »

  • A small but good selection of local preserves, cheeses, caramels, juices, and ciders. Friendly staff make this a nice, quick stop for something to take home.
  • The wonderful staff here helped us select a wonderful Calvados to bring home for ourselves (and treats for our family). Knowledgeable and generous with their time and information, we really enjoyed our visit to this distillery. The staff was also bilingual and friendly, all in all, a great experience. Can't wait to order more from this Calvados producer. Oh, and the Calvados--smooth, bourbon-like, and wonderful with an apple-crisp finish.
  • Very friendly people. Got a free degustation and decided to buy the "Saporange". A cider based liquor with a fresh orange taste. It's sold in a classy bottle that can be used as a fancy water bottle afterwards.
  • over the top!
