  • Very well restored, the ruins of the castle of Chalucet can be visited for free. The surroundings are very well maintained. The top of the Tower, the view is superb. To do! Beware, that climbs not bad to go to the ruins.

  • Superb and huge site medieval 20 minutes from Limoges, built on a rocky spur at the confluence of two rivers: the Briance and Ligoure the. In the summer, possibility of a picnic in the shade of large trees on the edges of the Briance. The guesthouse offers guided tours, digital tablets for a virtual visit with augmented reality, cool drinks, a point of water and the toilet... A footbridge on the Ligoure gives access to a hike in the forest park of the area of Ligoure where an interpretive trail allows to discover the flora and fauna local as well to become familiar with the very particular history of this area which is still owned by a descendant of the family of the Play.

  • The beginning is a little sport. It is difficult to access to aged persons or disabled. It is also much better under the Sun than rain (obviously). Otherwise it's a great place, old stone, in the middle of a beautiful nature. We recommend. In a typical landscape of the limousin you will find this old Castle in ruins but fairly well preserved. You will see in addition to the Castle housing the Knights and Lords all around. It is a beautiful testimony of the past mixed with a nice bowl of clean air.
