  • The museum part is quite interesting and gives a good idea of the creation and evolution of the firm. It seems however that the main attraction is the ‘Museum shop’ ( that is the factory outlet...  more »

  • Museum is small but very interesting. The shop is great and there is a small drinks bar too. Worth the visit for fantastic knives!
  • Stall, but fine museum. You could get a nice insight into the the historic and recent production process. Additionally an art exhibition taking into account Opinel knives is available. All that for free. Of course you need to pass through the museum shop at the exit, but the prices are fair and you could get the range of products. Recommended (with kids also).
  • Nice museum - it's a trek to get there but it's good fun to see the origin and the story of the pocket knife. Good shop too!
  • Nice place to buy opinel and to know about some history. But for me it worth visiting only if you passing by near anyway.
  • Free museum showing the history and manufacture of Opinel knives. This used to be the site of the original Opinel workshop before they moved to a larger building. The gift shop has English guides if you don't read French. Check out the film at the end of the museum, really interesting to see how they do quality control on their knives. The best part is really the gift shop though. You can get all kinds of different Opinel knives and tools, makes a good souvenir or gift.
