  • Taking advantage of the visit of my little children, I wanted to show them this nice Museum. Luck on the site indicated that it is open until 8 p.m. arrived bad surprise: it is closed until 10 February. Other visitors have made the same observation. C "is good to have a website but it needs to be updated. Especially since it's the second time I do white cabbage. The first I had been made aware by the revival of this museum. Error it was two days later!

  • Everything you always wanted to know about silk... A very informative video begins the visit then we discover the machines necessary for the production of silk and the highlight of the visit, it's the larvae and cocoons in live! (End of October, got the chance to see the last cocoons of d season!) We fell on it by chance, then we don't want you to spend next!

  • It is a very nice little Museum a guided tour to listen, to devour it is in the centuries past, a guide who makes us live this life with passion, gives us full of anecdote and truth that shows us that our ancestors had to fight for them, but for us also especially do not miss this visit with the children do with the guide

  • Amazing little museum with a good range of silk industry items on display and English translations explaining the silk making process. The highlight is that they maintain live silkworms and moths at every stage of development on display so you can watch them up close. It is a really effective way to see how they grow, spin their cocoons, pupate, etc. Especially good for the kids. There is also a craft table with scissors and glue for they to play, although don't try and do that when a guided tour is happening or your kids will get repeatedly and pointlessly "shhhh"ed by the curator.
  • Small museum in a small town. They sale products not cheap :(
  • Fun place to visit.
  • The Museum that we enter the world of silk in the Cevennes in an educational way and joking.

  • Beautiful SAINT HIPPOLYTE of the FORT Museum, accessible to people with reduced mobility. Located in the heart of the city, the museum traces the history of the silk in the Cévennes. A collection of machine tools of the silk industry as well as a farm (in season), a video documentary, a shop of ready to wear and memories await you. The staff is friendly and professional. Guided tours for groups booked. A must see!
