  • Beautiful small Abbey at 20mn of Carcassonne. A great surprise, in a pretty typical village of the Aude. Parking within 3 minutes. Impeccable home. The gentleman we perfectly informed and answered all of our questions. Very nice and knowledgeable! The cloister is splendid and the ceiling is unexpected. Bravo for the conservation of this site. Keep!

  • A historic site that the municipality has heart to restore, the fast at €5 takes about an hour if you linger to see a short film about the place in addition to the rooms, very friendly and in autumn it is quiet to discover a beautiful set of buildings with a beautiful cloister, the home, the Church and the famous sarcophagus of Saint Sernin bonus...

  • Abbey of saint Hilaire is a beautiful Abbey e n ab perfect condition is very well restored. The visit is paid 'small price' and you get a guide. It is here that sparkling wine was invented, and not in the champagne region!

  • How could you not want to visit the home of fizz? Lovely, well preserved abbey on a site dating back to Roman times that is famous for inventing fizzy wine (100 years before becoming prevalent in Champagne). It is said that Don Perignon visited the abbey on a pilgrimage to Spain and learned the technique from the Saint Hilaire monks. A short drive from Carcassonne. Check out the painted ceiling in the Abbot's rooms.
  • Awesome space. Served in Spanish at the entrance of the complex by a dependent helpful. Walk through halls, bends and hiding places deserve peace of mind: the Abbot room, cava's first sparkling wine, Church and cloister... Extraordinary.

  • Beautiful Abbey and possible visit of the whole; cleanliness to stress; Church deserves a more complete restoration and clean furnishings cumbersome and sometimes unnecessary. A small regret: have a more elaborate text or an audio-guide. Thanks for the welcome.

  • Very warm who explains in detail some thing to not missed and some stories of the Abbey to know. I recommend the visit, very nice to discover!

  • The Abbey has been beautifully restored over the past months and the tour is extended to the walled part. Competent and very warm hospitality.
