Clos des Menuts, Saint-Emilion
(3.6/5 based on 45+ reviews on the web)
Taste wine and tour ancient cellars at Clos des Menuts. While not a chateau, this family operation in the heart of the city shows that good wine doesn't have to be surrounded by castles and Renaissance architecture. The Riviere family owns 25 hectares (61 acres) of vineyards, where they grow the grapes for their award-winning wine. Tour the cellars for free and taste a few vintages without any pressure to buy. If you do feel inspired, pick up a bottle or two to take home. Put Clos des Menuts at the forefront of your travel plans using our Saint-Emilion trip generator.

  • This was fun in many ways. The wine cellar is a must see just to see how things were/are done, and the stone carvings are quite nice too. That was fun, but our wine tasting experience was even more fu...  more »
  • Visit oct 26, 2016 at 5.30 p.m. c pity the reception was so poor because the place is beautiful. A family of Martinique 8000 km to be received like that! We asked a tasting and now and we felt a refusal to serve us d more than one isolated us the other tasters! We are therefore left without asking our rest and went to another more friendly place where we have been welcomed and buy good bottles of St emilion. We believe we must be received like everyone else! The money n has no color!

  • Despite being an interesting, if you're short on time in Saint Emilion, becomes an attraction expendable due to other places more attractive in the City Centre for visiting churches, streets, monuments, etc. On the other hand, if you have time left, remember to pass in the cellars and tasting.
