  • The visit with the sommelier is very interesting. He explained us the process of winemaking and tasting, remaining available to our questions. For € 10, the visit of an hour's worth to understand saint Emilion and its vineyards

  • Super guided tour not the sommelier House, which changes the hostesses in stilettos and who know nothing, apart from the history of the Castle and the new owner very rich who just acquired a vineyards to make sense of his life, closer to the Earth... Here everyone knows his job, we don't waste his time in the visit. Congratulations to the team! And in particular to the sommelier!

  • Nice tour of the château and explanation of the wine making process with excellent English speaking guide all finished off with the wine tasting
  • Very friendly and knowledgeable staff (excellent English spoken if needed) give tours of the gorgeous chateau, explaining the vinyards, wine making equipment and process along the way. The tour terminates in the luxurious, modern tasting room. The tour and tasting are more or less involved depending on the type of reservation (required, no walk-ups). The basic tasting involves two of their Grand Cru wines, one a few years older than the other in part to demonstrate the effect of aging red wines. More personal, one-on-one tours taste more wines, are more in-depth, and take a little longer to complete. The wines are very good, accessible, and affordable, with many falling below 50 euro. They offer cases, wood display boxes, and shipping services in addition to single bottles. Chateau de Ferrand is a great place to visit with a combination of helpful staff, beautifully restored chateau, and excellent wines set in the middle of idyllic vinyards.
