  • Awesome place, a castle fully renovated inside, perfect for dinner and wine tasting. Charm atmosphere but keeping the heritage taste of an old country house
  • Attended a fabulous concert here, Ishay Shaer pianist, beautiful setting close to Saint Emilion. Set in the tasting room with the opportunity to talk to the pianist and the owner after the concert. Ample quantities of Chateau de Ferrand wine flowing made for a memorable evening!
  • The sommelier was nice for the tour but a bit too quick maybe. Differently from other châteaux we payed the visit for 10 euros. The wine tasting at the end was pleasant and the sommelier explained us how to drink and evaluate wine. That was really appreciated. The wine bottle maybe a bit expensive. The château is big and nice and now under some travel to improve it for visitors.
  • Very friendly and knowledgeable staff (excellent English spoken if needed) give tours of the gorgeous chateau, explaining the vinyards, wine making equipment and process along the way. The tour terminates in the luxurious, modern tasting room. The tour and tasting are more or less involved depending on the type of reservation (required, no walk-ups). The basic tasting involves two of their Grand Cru wines, one a few years older than the other in part to demonstrate the effect of aging red wines. More personal, one-on-one tours taste more wines, are more in-depth, and take a little longer to complete. The wines are very good, accessible, and affordable, with many falling below 50 euro. They offer cases, wood display boxes, and shipping services in addition to single bottles. Chateau de Ferrand is a great place to visit with a combination of helpful staff, beautifully restored chateau, and excellent wines set in the middle of idyllic vinyards.
  • Nice tour of the château and explanation of the wine making process with excellent English speaking guide all finished off with the wine tasting
