  • Very welcome by our guide. Almost it is known for some time. Visit of the cellar of the cellars of the Court, decustation of wines 2 year of good harvest year. The visit of the castles is missing in my opinion. Not the part of the apartments private, but it maque part mystery of the d visit a castle. An area for improvement for a visit. This castle belongs to the bich family there are very appreciated by our guide and all of the employees of the Castle, but something is missing to visit?

  • We booked the tour and tasting through mail and dear Helene we responded promptly by offering the possibility to visit the estate with other people in English. Duration of the tour about an hour explanation absolutely interesting, well done, followed by a tasting of their wines. She chose a 2006 and 2011 to make us feel the difference, you did really good and we were delighted to have chosen chateau de Ferrand. Only cost 9 € per person! Good really. The estate is beautiful!

  • Inside the Chateau that we have seen in Saint-Emilion Ferrand's has been very well. The visit made it in English and the guide that we had was a very kind and polite young man who ever dared to speak in the Spanish who knew. The visit went well, also talk about the process of the wine and see the vineyards also told us some details about the current owner of the Chateau that were very curious, since it belongs to the family of the company of Bic pens, but ownership is not the company but to the family. The guide was attentive to all our doubts and the Chateau is one of the highest points of Saint-Emilion with what is very beautiful views if you separate yourself somewhat. The tasting very good, tasted the first wine from the Château of two different vintages (2009-2012) and we liked.

  • Nice tour of the château and explanation of the wine making process with excellent English speaking guide all finished off with the wine tasting
  • Very friendly and knowledgeable staff (excellent English spoken if needed) give tours of the gorgeous chateau, explaining the vinyards, wine making equipment and process along the way. The tour terminates in the luxurious, modern tasting room. The tour and tasting are more or less involved depending on the type of reservation (required, no walk-ups). The basic tasting involves two of their Grand Cru wines, one a few years older than the other in part to demonstrate the effect of aging red wines. More personal, one-on-one tours taste more wines, are more in-depth, and take a little longer to complete. The wines are very good, accessible, and affordable, with many falling below 50 euro. They offer cases, wood display boxes, and shipping services in addition to single bottles. Chateau de Ferrand is a great place to visit with a combination of helpful staff, beautifully restored chateau, and excellent wines set in the middle of idyllic vinyards.
