  • I often visit the wonderful Jardin des plantes des Capellans : many flowers, palm trees, bamboos and when the squirrels are dancing aroud me I am in paradise  more »
  • Surprising and delightful... This ballad on floor to start and then we leave the path to the discovery of this strange place where peacocks calls we are direct to the small red bridge... And there we have the pleasure of falling nose to beak with a sumptuous White Peacock who goes on parade parade... to continue your way and it is the encounter with a sculptor and again and again... huge carp ponds, Koi, and the freshness of a bamboo I stop, take your time to discover the rest. We came back the next day, the magic was again was to go.

  • A nice walk in the garden of plants. Among the trees, beautiful flowers and the road abstract sculptures, peacocks are the show, happiness to see them make the wheel. We say "proud as a Peacock" and although this confirms the adage!

  • . Weird opening hours - afternoons only, from 1.30 - but I guess that is partly a matter of staffing. They can't afford to pay the staff to supervise and open in the mornings because, you see, it is totally free. Yes, .all paid for from the local rates. The garden was set up at the end of the 19th century by a family who built the Villa des Capelláns. The name had been retained for the local suburb and the rugby ground. The town council took it on in 2003 and had been caring for it and developing it ever since. For the benefit of us all. Paths wind through the 5 hectares of lush planting, including a small lake (or large pond, depending how you look at it) and the famous giant bamboo patch. N.B. no dogs are allowed, not even guide dogs or little ones in your handbag. 😊 .
  • Great place to relax and just wander. Environment bloomed with peacocks in freedom. Magnificent.

  • To see and find in all seasons, for children as for adults. Some Sundays of summer of quality musical entertainment. A very very good initiative!
