3.6/5 based on 25+ reviews on the web
Discover a diverse array of artwork alongside ancient artifacts at Les Fleurs de l' Abbaye. The modern building sits just a stone's throw away from Saint Claude Cathedral and boasts an impressive array of paintings and drawings from the late 19th century to the 1980s, with a particularly strong School of Paris collection. The basement of the museum has a different focus, exhibiting archaeological relics from the Condat Abbey (today the cathedral). Here, you can learn about some of France's oldest monasteries. Complete your visit with a trip to the museum's small but picturesque garden. • Rich Museum for a small town like Saint-Claude: in addition to beautiful architecture, a temporary Rebeyrolle well laid out, and in collection permanent exhibition, many french painters of the 20th s. rather less than more well-known, but often deserve discovery. The basement (cloister) is also worth the visit. Downside: meager choice of postcards, at an exorbitant price of 1.50 euros/piece.

  • This is a museum that has s ' integrate into the landscape with elegance. The natural light makes it possible to ' enjoy the works in very good conditions. Archaeological excavations are also a very fine collection of paintings. It is a cultural venue in the heart of this small town.
