Cap Fréhel, Saint-Brieuc

4.6
#1 of 9 in Things to do in Saint-Brieuc
You won’t find any towns or villages on Cap Fréhel peninsula. The marshes and moorland make it difficult to construct structures on the peninsula, and the cliffs surrounding the site make it difficult to access it by sea. Your best access route is by walking the Sentier des Douaniers path to the wild, windswept area to view seabirds at the reserve, historic lighthouses, and a fortified castle straight out of a fairytale. Cap Fréhel with its lighthouse provides a panoramic view and invites for a walk alongside the coast. But a few kilometers in west direction it also offers nice sandy beaches with clean and refreshing ...  more »

The landscapes are stunning. Must ride. The only minor negative: steps of the paid lighthouse. If you come by car, 3 euros for parking.

nice walk in nature. superb edge of cliff with views of st malo off. Huge protected space covered with beautiful Heath who grew well. a small path in grés(ne pas avoir de pb de marche) allows to immerse in this very decor.on bo can also follow the coast on the rock. Especially to a stop if lon is less than 20 minutes.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. Fantastic landscape. Parking was 3€ but definitely worth it. We spent 2 hours walking around the coastline looking at the spectacular cliffs.

A great scenery over the sea. Tha lamp house is worth the visit for the view, but not for the exhibition which is poor. The place is well organised and it is worth paying the 3 EUR parking to help conservation if the place.

We have visited the beautiful Cap many times and each time it looks different. The old kiosk was torn down so you here now is self catering. The toilets are somewhat bad narrow, but were clean during our visit. Unfortunately, the lighthouse was closed. The vegetation has brought back the CAP itself. Earlier, you saw lots of bunkers and today everything full of blooming flowers. It's fun here to wander and photograph beautiful pictures.

Tip of the Breton coast of rare beauty. The lighthouse, seagulls, the gentle breeze and steady, make this wild and unspoiled. Gorgeous

Beautiful scenery, a good sensational wind. Entry pay and the rise of the lighthouse also. Allow €10
