Musee Balzac, Sache
(4.3/5 based on 70+ reviews on the web)
Musee Balzac is a literary museum in the former residence of French novelist Honoré de Balzac. The modest house, with its courtyard and garden, contains Balzac's writing desk and chair, his turquoise-studded cane by Lecointe, his teakettle, and his coffee pot. The ground floor has a library of the author's manuscripts, original and subsequent editions, illustrations, books annotated and signed by Balzac, books devoted to Balzac, and other books and magazines of the period. Admission to the house is free, but a fee is charged for its temporary exhibitions. • In love with the human comedy, the castle is a true pilgrimage and a hymn to Balzac if not more than his Paris home. His holiday resort is simple and singular. You will find at any time of the year the sculptures of Rodin in tribute to Balzac, but also his room, his office, or his imagination was at the top. We had the chance to see a temporary exhibition of period furniture, expo made by one of the greatest experts of France for narrated descriptions of Balzac in his many novels such as the father Goriot and others... Don't miss this tour, entry rates are very affordable. This visit was a pure moment of emotion...
