One of the most extensive underground cave systems in the area, Grotte de Rouffignac spans about 8 km (5 mi). Some of its 250 etchings and drawings date back more than 15,000 years. Reach the cave via a train system that takes you about 1.6 km (1 mi) into its depths. This guided tour covers the cave's history and former inhabitants. Only 550 people are allowed into the cave each day, so plan accordingly. Beautiful cave authentic we transported out of time well narrated guide within moments of calm conducive to reflection in the cave and l escape ballad by train in the cave... Nice... Have the chance to be in one visit with the splendid c... guide c a privilege... Therefore, avoid the months of summer

  • The cave is not as "spectacular" as lay... though maybe? She remains as interesting as already is not a replica, it is very large and offers other techniques, other animals such as the mammoth no or little presence in other caves. We were also lucky to have a great and passionate guide who speaks a precise and impeccable french which made this visit very very nice. Thank you again...

  • A visit nice family and very authentic. Visit made partly in a small train to get to the bottom of the cave and discover many drawing of mammoth horses and other. Guide your pleasant and very available why answering the questions.
