  • It's an exposition of iron/meatl items. What makes it special is that the museum is located in the church.

  • This is a one-of-a-kind museum, in a beautiful church filled with interesting metal works and tools. I was surprisingly fascinated by the look at daily life in generations past - seeing the tools...

  • A small but very nice museum. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and since we had a long afternoon planned with the children it was actually a relief that the museum was small enough to make a small detour. They also had an exhibition about Paco Rabane on at that time. It was very interesting to learn that he was the first designer to experiment with the use of metal as a material for clothes!
  • Really friendly staff and quite a sight! As a non appreciated of art i thought that they had some wonderful pieces!
  • Good for a 30-45 minute stop-over, immediately to rear of Musee des Beaux Arts in what used to be a church. Upper deck, permanent exhibit FREE, lower level 5€. Vast array of various sewing and barber scissors, some wrought iron, a few pistols, swords, buckles. Some iron filigree, hair combs, intricate small safes and small treasure boxes.
  • For those interested in metal craftsmanship this is an absolute must visit Museum. The level of skill and artistic effort shown in the production of so many of the obviously hand made exhibits, is simply breathtaking. Who would have thought that 17th, 18th or 19th century locks and keys could be so elegant or so intricate? This has to be the finest collection I have ever seen. The range of exhibits on display covers something from almost all aspects of everyday life from tableware to tools or warfare to early medicine. There is something for all interests here. Best to allow yourself several hours to soak it all in. I have pictures but the lighting can be tricky. I wish I had allocated at least whole day.
  • Beautiful, functional items of high art quality. Lot's of time and love in setting this place up and maintaining the wonderful displays and building. Thanks so much to the folks that offer these places up for our enjoyment!!!
