In addition to the beauty of the building must take time to enjoy tapas and cocktails, quietly, by listening to the pianist or music. The service is friendly and very professional. Rates are correct given the property. We go there regularly and are never disappointed.

Beautiful hotel. Large, comfortable, nicely appointed rooms in an historic old mansion. It's a staple stop on the local tour route for tourists. The hotel staff are wonderful. The hotel is in the city center, and is within walking distance of just about everything. It has the largest indoor pool in northern France. Can't say enough about how terrific this place is. No stay at the Hotel de Bourgtheroulde is long enough.

Loved staying here! Our room was one of the modern ones. The pool & steam room are awesome! Loved the town.

Disappointing. Rooms are soulless and bland. None of the building charms kept in the rooms. Best things are the cocktails. Definitely not great value for money.

Fantastic hotel, well placed within the centre of Rouen. All shops and attractions are within walking distance. Lovely food in hotel restaurant although the menu is limited. Large bathrooms with bathrobes and slippers so that you can wander down to the large indoor pool in them ready for a swim or a spa treatment. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a lovely large privilege room which was great, so spacious.

We were only in Rouen for one night so we chose this hotel because they were part of our rewards program. The staff was extremely helpful an knowledgeable of the area. She marked up a map with the key areas to see in our short visit and even told us to attend the cathedral light show which turned out to be our favorite part! The check-in and checkout process were easy and stress free. Overall the service was remarkable. Our room was spectacular as well. We had a king suite overlooking the front courtyard on the 3rd floor. It was bright and showcased amazing wood paneling. It was clean and well maintained. Small luxuries like in-room Nespresso and a pair of robes was appreciated. The room was very quiet as well. We took advantage of the hotel bar for a night cap and enjoyed the modern aethestic that complimented the worldly decor. The prices were reasonable and drinks made well. It was a perfect place to relax at the end of the busy day.

Where to stay in Rouen

If your main reason for visiting Rouen is its famous cathedral, which inspired Monet to paint dozens of canvasses, consider booking your room at a hotel in or around the city center. Despite being within walking distance of the cathedral and the river, hotels in this area provide comfort and privacy at modest prices. If you're looking to splurge and location isn't your priority, think about staying at a luxurious hotel-spa situated farther outside the city, where you can have access to heated outdoor pools.
