The home of French writer Pierre Loti is of great interest to literary aficionados. Julien Viaud, also known by his alias Pierre Loti, was born in the famous Le Pierre Loti on January 14 1850. The imaginative and original writer transformed his humble home into a cultural amalgamation of design. Returning home from his assignments all over the world, the present Le Pierre Loti is home to several unique interior décor styles including a mosque, Arabian bedrooms, Gothic rooms, Renaissance rooms, Turkish rooms, as well as the Oriental design. • Really nice breakfast with house made apricot confiture and welcoming personnel :-).
  • Once the best Restaurant Rochefort when Mr. and Mrs. SUHARD held the property for very low prices. We could have lunch, a drink in peace, and it was broadcast football games. Today the cuisine at Pierre Loti is of poor quality, most of the things are bought ready-made and not cooked on-site as formerly. Pierre Loti has become the refuge of the soulographes and the prices are prohibitive unfortunately.
