  • Either they have changed the coin mechanism, or I invested 4€ into this visit ..... did get a receipt for 2€ though.. So the machine turnstile gate takes 1€ coins now. That said, did see some people t...  more »
  • Walking on the ramparts is quite an experience! You feel like you are on top of the world with amazing views of the surrounding area but also down onto the town.  more »
  • Not quite worth the €2 (it actually requires a €2 coin per person to get in) but it does offer the best views in Rocamadour.  more »

  • What a great French historical village. It's very fun and romantic to walk around this tiny city
  • Great day out. Lots of walking though. There is a funicular for part of it, but I lost count of the number of steps we walked up/down. Lots of places to eat too.
  • Visitng the entire town of Rocamadour is very a great experience. But ready to do a lot of uphill and downhill walking :) However one of the best places to visit is the Chateau, which gives a great view over the whole valley and the town. There is a payed entry to the Chateau - 2 EUR. Be sure to have coins, it is an automatic gate, no till with a person.
  • Great views along the walls of the chateau. Chateau is private and is not accessible to visitors.
  • No cash for access to the battlements... There is a turnstile that accepts only two euro coins... any change not visit...
