Today the ruins are in good enough condition to offer a picture of the castle's original layout. Recent restoration projects have recreated the tall vaulted ceilings, 2.1 m (7 ft) thick walls, the drawbridge, and a rock dungeon. Located on a rocky outcrop overlooking Tarn Valley, the chateau offers many scenic photo opportunitues, including a chance to capture the Gorges du Tarn entrance, so remember your camera.
