Chateau de Bridoire, Ribagnac

4.6
Although the 12th-century Chateau de Bridoire is undergoing renovations, the owners opened both the renovated and non-renovated portions to the public in 2012. Wander the property to find out what's involved in renovation something of this stature. After seeing the chateau, you can try out some of the dozens of medieval games the owners have set up to entertain the visitors. You can also purchase the necessary items for a picnic on the grounds. • A very beautiful castle on a human scale, with a beautiful restoration of the places. Each piece is unique, and what makes this unique Castle, these are old games scattered on each floor and accessible to all. A large park turned into a playground for all ages. Bravo for having smartly revived those places

  • "well, it looks like the Ferté-saint-aubin, with all these games and these animations" well ben normal, these are the same owners. They understand that a castle, it comes alive (especially when special heritage days), and that you can enjoy great (historic) and small (full of old games everywhere, outside, in each room a wood to keep game) attention, games search and puzzles and more for children... Welcome to the top by the owners, tour pleasant, nice animation (equestrian entertainment, jam and tasting of special rolls), everything is done so that the visitor spends the day and fun all the way, the same spirit to la Ferté. Not so known that (I saw little flyers for this castle and has discovered it by accident) facing the big "pontes" Dordogne, this castle totally worth a look (feel free to come from far away, you will not be disappointed). And why not paired your visit with the montreal (issac) Castle, which is not far away? History (and many sticks in the wheels we put the owner to prevent it to resume and restore) is very interesting. This castle deserves it mobilizes for him and do it live with the sandstone of the visits.

  • Well worth a visit if you happen to be in the area. Purchased some lovely local wines.
  • We visited the "maze" with 2 families (3 kids 6, 7 and 9 y.o.). We had great fun during 2,5 hours. We didnt visit the castle nor the outdoor games, but it looked great.
  • Nice château, has games all the way through, so the kids won't get bored.
  • Brilliant Chateau loads to do for kids and very well restored definitely worth a visit.
  • Great fun for all the family, children loved the wide variety of games.
