Ranked "garden prestige type 1" by the city of Rennes, Parc du Thabor is a public park on more than 10 hectares (24 acres) of land with a mix of French gardens, an English garden, and a large botanical garden. Its name refers to Mount Tabor, the mountain overlooking the Sea of ??Galilee in Israel. The monks of Saint-Melaine Abbey started their vegetable gardens here in the 18th century, and that tradition of growing botanicals has persisted since then. This is a wonderful park to visit and take a nice walk around if you are visiting Rennes. If you are a runner, this is a good park to run around in, but you would have to keep going around and around to get some mileage. I came here one morning to do some speed drills. Otherwise this is a great park for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Don't forget to bring your camera with you.
Great park, amazing plant life of all kinds, beautifully laid out.
A remarkably designed park that is relaxing to walk around and discovering the surprises that it may bring in some corners.

Best park ever. But the weather in britanny.
Excellent parc to relax for some hours or spent the lunch break. Also quite a lot of cultural activities.
