Chateau Fort de Rambures is a castle constructed during the Middle Ages in the military fortress style of the 15th century. It was one of the first castles in Europe constructed almost exclusively with bricks. The castle is set in the Parc et Roseraie du Château de Rambures park containing an heirloom rose garden and ancient trees.     You could visit most of the chateau. It's not far from the motorway for a stop over / break from driving. Beautiful little castle. Looks good from outside and nicely furnished inside.

    Had a beautiful afternoon wandering around the castle and its grounds. The visitors are now free to visit without a guide so you can take your time to view the different rooms. They are very well...

    Nice castle. At times smelled a bit mouldy. Watch out, you can’t visit the garden during lunch break. I’m general a nice castle. 1 hour is enough to get through it.

    Beautiful castle with a small park around it. Lots of history and rooms to be seen. It needs a bit of "updating". I know it is old, but it would be nice to clean the dust and dirt once in a while. Price is 10e for full access.
