  • Since the time that I was looking for a museum on the prehistory and evolution as there was in my childhood! a real gem in a small provencal village. Across it by chance, I came to realize that he was referred to on the highway, and I promise to visit for 10 years. Finally, 2016 was good. Like what, randomly do things! the most:-permanent collection: - very well documented - reconstructions (animals prehistoric and scenes of life) - of the fun activities for children to grasp concepts - spacious and airy layout making the visit even more pleasant - not too big, not too small: perfect size to learn without finding it too long. "Eventually a movie with the possibility to sit down is a good idea - intimate - the prehistoric village reconstructed, or more precisely the ' village" with different types of prehistoric habitats (outside the Museum). -possibility to visit the cave, but watch out for conservation reasons, just two visits per week. -very nice with a small corner base leisure nearby less:-victim of its success, I was unable to visit the cave, because visits are full three weeks in advance, but randomly doing things... not excellently well either ;-), the visits were already complete before I am on vacation. -the village mentioned above being far from the Museum, I had a bit of trouble to find it. I did not "so far" - I didn't like the temporary exhibition, the point of having completely forgotten the subject. -the snack is very expensive and, in my opinion, not at all suitable or of the incomplete. -exteriors, and more particularly the parking lots are tops. conclusion: to do if you're in the area. Suitable for children. plan a picnic. do not forget the village. To plan ahead and book early if you want to visit the cave.

  • Museum of prehistory of the gorges of the Verdon River, located in the heart of the village of Quinson. Very didactic Museum with many cards, videos, reenactments of the excavation sites, presentations of objects and bones. Allow at least 2 hours for the visit!

  • We visited the Museum with your friends. Media are essentially patches of readings and storefronts. We would have appreciated a little more interactivity and modernity. Disappointed because I had the memory of my visit in high school that the various stakeholders had made very friendly. This time, no staff except the receptionist whose home would have been better with a smile. Maybe go on weekdays or during holidays? A good point: the visit following the time scale
