  • Fond of prehistory and Caver 45 years I visited twenty caves decorated, some several times. Even no hand was missing to my tally, and I'm not done moving to see her. We had booked, the number of visits and visitors is limited, but once on-site we were alone with the guide for the visit. Very competent and friendly shows the visitor on different serious animals and focuses on various features of this cave (animals carved by pairs, concentration of the engravings under an entry point of light, deer turning the head rare representation in the parietal art etc.) Don't miss under any pretext for all lovers of prehistory.

  • Living 10 km from this cave I went there in July 2016. We have been very well received by our guide. We have learned and discovered many things about this cave. Small in size but big in its history. I recommend it to you.

  • Have visited this cave because Lascaux was gone too far me - and have not regretted it. Here, there are cave engravings but seeing no drawings. It is the oldest site in Europe, you can see originals and the explanations and the presentation is really good.

  • Fun visit, even with kids (not too young though, as most of it is in the dark!)
  • Visit very well. Home ok. Perhaps a bit expensive for who is not young or unemployment. But it's worth the trip.

  • It is also the oldest relic of human settlement in Europe although a relatively small cave, but with its history dating back over 30000 years. The cave engravings are impressive and are well presented. And there are originals!
