Trip Planner: Europe / France / Pays de la Loire / Loire-Atlantique / Port-Saint-Pere / Planete Sauvage
A safari in France seems incredible, but it does exist, at Planete Sauvage. The park spans 130 hectares (320 acres), with over 1,000 animals wandering amidst re-creations of their natural habitats. You’ll need a car to drive the 10 km (6.2 mi) trail, where you’ll see the animals up close as they wander free in their environments. A guided off-road adventure in a 4x4 will get you even closer, but the most intimate views come when you wander on foot through a replica of an Ivory Coast village and a flamingo- and monkey-filled jungle, or visit the dolphins in Marine City. Using our international travel planner, Port-Saint-Pere attractions like Planete Sauvage can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Planete Sauvage Reviews
Chère pour le nombre d'animaux aperçus, le manque d'entretien général du parc et les spectacles proposés. L'ampleur du pont suspendu et du parcours safari laisse présager un vrai spectacle des yeux...... more »Expensive for the number of previews animals, the lack of general maintenance of the Park and the shows on offer. The magnitude of the suspension bridge and the safari course portends a real spectacle for the eyes... only a small group of monkeys and backdrop, the old bridge of monkey left to abandonment and the safari course is quick because it seeks and animals; Thanks also for the dampers of the car! It's very sad and frustrating, for some species, cannot approach them more closely (which is usually located in the other zoo). On the number of shops and restaurants, very few open... Would it be possible, because of all these remarks, to propose the lower entry and in relation to the season ticket?
Belle journée de découverte parmi les animaux. je recommande le safari voiture où l'on a tout loisir de s'arrêter et d'observer les animaux ( les moins dangereux).. les girafes n'hésitent pas à s'appr... more »Great day of discovery among the animals. I recommend safari car where one has time to stop and observe animals (less dangerous)... giraffes do not hesitate to get very close and if you have a panoramic roof is even better. Very good security for the beasts with sas to pass, unfortunately they are a bit far. The dolphin show is interesting but not very spectacular. Everything else is very friendly; very clean and the animals are not stressed. I recommend; plan for the day.

An off-season weekday visit thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our first self-drive safari park visit. We enjoyed the various zones with different creatures roaming around and absolutely recommend buying some popcorn to feed the likes of the deer and zebras. The dolphin show was good too. Always a bit concerned about the welfare in such things but all dolphins appeared happy and were not over-worked. Definitely worth a visit.
Family wildlife park based near Nantes in France. Drive around part for Lions, Tigers & bears etc. In enclosures. Aeriel walkway through trees to see apes and chimps. Aquarium features dolphin shows every couple of hours. Plenty of restaurants on site to eat either snacks or main meals. Great day out.
If you don't like traffic jam then do not come in high season like August, before you end up complaining and give 1 star review. Overall visit was fun..kids had fun.. saw 3 cheetahs from very close and they are beautiful. Dolphin shows were amazing, kids will love it, only the big cats family is missing some cats for example : we didn't see any single male lion. There are restaurants inside the pedestrian area..there are picnic area inside the safari track.
This or Puy du Fou are the best days out in France. Allow a full day at the park to enjoy all the facilities. An amazing amount of animals and brilliant dolphin show. Well worth a visit.
Amazing wild life park but it is next to impossible to get in without a car.
