Great little place. Surrounded by nature. The side of the island facing the French coast has few restaurants to eat, but prices are a bit expensive. Council to bring a sack lunch and so much but so much water. Buy a map of the island in €3, with all the trails and directions. Turn the island on foot in one day is practically impossible, I recommend to rent a bike and visit all the coves scattered along the coast opposite to the French. The walks in the Maquis are accompanied by cicadas. A must do if you pass in the area! Down the road in hyères to fetch the ferry, it is possible to leave the car on the way, so as to avoid port parking very expensive.

We stayed at this beautiful island on a hot and sunny day in August. As described on any guide, no cars (only locals can have her, but can be counted on one hand). Just bike to sightsee (super recommended, but Sandy dust on these roads). Tropical atmospheres (water temperature aside, if you say that you are in the Caribbean would you believe without any doubt), clear blue sea and sandy beaches (especially the Silver Beach). Expensive prices: ferry to 19 euros each (15 minutes), but even small shops selling fruit at 7 euros on kg (off the island less than half). Not to be missed.

an extraordinary excursion to enchanting charm surrounded by nature! HOW to DO:--start early. The first boat is at 7.30 (during the summer) and at that time the car parks are already very full (there's one every half hour). There are car parks near the embarkation (8/7.50 euros for 10 hours on charge), or you can leave your car in the street that goes up to the left of rotondina. In case you cannot find even parking you can park along the road before the roundabout. Caution: parking available ends quickly ... If you don't find parking, you waive all excursion unfortunately-we recommend to bring packed lunches because there are restaurants and bars only at the port-the ticket take comfortably in place and costs 19.50 adults and reduced for children, University students and young people under 26-in boarding area c and a little bar for breakfast (in each case found bar also on the island), Market (in the narrow street on the left) with baguettes and other groceries-15 minute journey and you are on the island. Just arrived you can enjoy an excellent cappuccino and pan au chocolat in the first bar (11 2 2 cappuccinos and croissants, 20eur)-leased absolutely bicycle (15 euro) why visit the island walk is really a bad choice, the rooms are spacious and the walks long and warm. Without a bike you might stop at the first Beach (beautiful and crowded, and you'll miss the natural spectacle of the bays of the island). -We explored the western part of the island, the richest of coves and paths. La Plage d argent is the first one in which most people stay for the whole day. Clear water and beautiful beach. Only problem L crowding especially in the afternoon. Continuing you will find the LANGOUSTIER with 2 beaches facing the other: the Black Beach in our view is not as nice as in front because of the many boats that Moor up on shore. In front of it c and a beautiful beach (perhaps the most beautiful of the island) with a wonderful water, no bar talking kiosk and everything is really wild. (Bring to back the necessary). Suggest that you go up to the area of the Fort of langoustier (not so much to strong as booster area from which you can admire an amazing sight) you can proceed to the calanque du breganconnet, a beautiful little Cove populated. Ability to find the jellyfish-we were on the East side and the lighthouse, so we can't say anything about it we conclude by recommending this spectacular Island, especially in sunny days (clouds spoil what the colors of the sea)
