  • A mandatory visit for all those who appreciate the county but who don't know much! We discover the absolutely non-industrielle County, local and social economy, first Pao cheese of France in volume, its manufacture and especially it is eaten with a little wine from the Jura!

  • La Maison du Comte tells all about the famous Comte cheese. Here is our everything told about this cheese that has a protected designation of origin, AOP in French. The cheese must meet certain conditions in the areas of fabicage and from a limited area. The milk comes only from cows of the Montbeliard or French Simmental breed that each cow must have minimum 1 ha meadow and may produce maximum 4600 liters of milk, they may not get enter silo, not to influence the taste of the milk. The cheese is made from raw milk and be mature for at least 4 months on pine boards in basements of which the temperature and humidity are controlled. In the end they are judged on various points the cheeses which obtain more than 15/20 get a green band, if the points are between 12 and 15 is there a Brown belt to. Those who get less than 12 be used to melt card manufacture. All this is explained on an educational way. In conclusion, there is a tasting. Recommended for large and small. The tour happens exclusively in French.
