  • Joan of Arc came in this beautiful room concourse. Today thugs, lawyers are people... to see the room downstairs inside pure Gothic, enormous fireplace there nose up to miss anything...

  • The façade is quite pretty. Once inside, we find ourselves in the current room lost steps, lacking charm despite its grandeur. No indication is present on the architecture so it is difficult to understand what we see when we are not specialists in Gothic art... It is to my knowledge not possible to access the Palace of accounts, except perhaps during the heritage days? So the tour is quickly made. Small special point for the engravings by the pseudo rebels of Poitiers, passing through courtrooms and that "nik justice". Respect learned!

  • Very nice facade. Beautiful Palace of the counts of Poitou.

  • Take a tour at the monumental salle des pas perdus. The size of the hearths of fireplaces and height under vault are prodigious. Pull out. Then bypass the 'bloc' of houses and shops encasing the Palace by the left (rue Gambetta, pedestrian). 1st Street which will then be on your left (rue des Cordeliers) will make you spend on medieval arrears of the Palace, an ancient fortress refurbished quite some time... Then you arrive naturally Place Charles De Gaulle to visit Notre Dame la Grande.
