  • One of oldest Baptistry in Europe, there is little to Paros that you see one as beautiful: moving!

  • Monument very well preserved since the very beginnings of the Christian era. Photograph or film, to the authorization of the Association of the antique dealers in the West.

  • This beautiful building dates back to the fourth century and was revised subsequently. It was a building where the Christian baptism at the end of antiquity was administered and it is one of the very rare testimonies of this type are kept in France. It has been revamped to the life-7th s. and offers a remarkable example of Merovingian architecture. I had been able to visit the Interior 30 years ago, but I couldn't do that the exterior round when I was in Poitiers in January 2017 because it was closed in the morning. But inside is worth a visit for its columns, the baptismal searched, the Romanesque frescoes, etc. It is now a small museum admission fees.

  • There is a small charge, which seems flexible if like us, you have a large family. Worth it to see what is claimed to be the oldest christian building in France. There is a leaflet that explains everything. Well worth the walk from the centre of town if you are interested in history.
  • One of the oldest Christian buildings in France. It is the 4TH century and has some interesting frescoes. It is worth €2.

  • An after - noon stroll in the old Poitiers will lead you naturally place de Gaulle in the baptistery passing by the Cathedral. Take the corner and its old mansions, but also of the different churches.

  • Very nice building, damage that exposure flow (since April) distorts the building. I pity especially the tourists this summer who wanted to take the baptistery in the photo with these large roots that emerge next door, it's really awful.
