The local Breton name for the point is Beg or Raz, and the name means "the end of the world." The lighthouse "La Vieille" is clearly visible from the rocks, and you can walk the breathtaking cliff top to view the perilous waters, the intriguing island, and charming fishing ports. • We visited the "land's end" of France. It is beautifully maintained with discrete fences to keep people of the heather and natural beauty. Unfortunately we chose a foggy day so we didn't see much view...  more »
  • Not to be missed, exceptional view on the Seine island and especially on the old lighthouse. You can see the sides cutting and magnificent colors of Juniper and Heather.

  • The view is of course amazing (and I cannot think what could be during winter). Actually a bit too busy compared to other "pointe" in the area and a bit commercial with pay parking (but it is to sustain the expense to maintain the site said a note) and many bar/restaurant/souvenir store). Anyway it is worth the stop.
  • Beautiful rocky coast with views in all directions. I wouldn't visit at the height of the season though, it was busy enough at the end of September.
  • Place for nature lowers. Lots of difficult paths, full of stones. View to some famous fares de Bretagne ))
  • The best way to arrive is from La Baie des Trépassés, or the Bay of the Dead. You can lie on he beach, avoid the parking fee and enjoy the extraordinary view of the Bay and the island of Seine.
  • One of the best places of bretagne. It's really wild. Usually the weather has strong wind, so be aware of that. It's a 30 min walk from the parking, but it is very pleasant. Go see there the sunset!
