  • Were able to visit the fort on November 11, really a beautiful very very well maintained. This is accessible after a path well easily but that can be a bit long for the children or the elderly. then we discover the fort surrounded by the ocean a magnificent spectacle. It is for its history explained by panels of information but also for the magnificent panorama visible especially from the top of the tower. Too bad there wasn't neither tour nor store open yet there was not a lot of people but it is understandable that in low season.

  • Well off the beaten track and a good walk from the car park but this little gem, sitting alone on its rocky promontary is a must. You get to it via the little village of La Motte It has no less than t...  more »
  • Going to Cap Frehel deserves a visit this old Manor House overlooking the ocean 10 min by car from faro or reachable through paths. Arrived at the parking lot there is to walk about ten minutes, it's tiring to return because all uphill. I have to disagree with those who said that the structure is badly preserved because it isn't absolutely true and also the entrance ticket doesn't seem even hexose (€ 5.50)

  • One of the best preserved castles I've ever seen. Stunning views and rich in history
  • Fantastic view, nice maintained place by owners, you can see how it was in the past
  • Great castle and gorgeous views.
  • Beautifull castle on the rocks.
  • You can go everywhere in this fort, even to the top of the lookout (if you can manage the stairs). Really worth a visit, free parking and cheap entry.
