  • A large market weekly, with in the lower fruit and vegetables, part jean Jaurès clothing and other items and part high mainly meat deli, Vietnamese specialities, few dishes, but past and excellent fish, the small stall held by Ms. Brunet, a very lovely Italian lady, with a parmesan and a gorgonzola to die among others.

  • The Saturday in the village of Pézenas market is one of the oldest and best in this part of the Hérault. It consists of dozens of cabins and it runs on nearly a dozen blocks along the "course Jean Jaurès." The market takes place all year round on Saturday and it is one of our favourite ways to spend a nice weekend day. What makes the market particularly unusual, is that the course Jean Jaurès is a very wide Street and this allows the market stands to stand on both sides of the street and cafes and stores line to fill the sidewalks. The market is filled with stalls of vegetables, clothing booths, sellers of charcuterie and more. My personal favorites are the booths of specialty at the north end of the market that sell authentic Italian cheeses, pasta and meetings and one who sells oils, olives, nuts and pickled vegetables (shown in the photo.) Try to get to the market early especially in summer because at 10: 00 car parks around the centre of Pézenas are filling up quickly. Many cafes line the street, and a summer day, it is nice to get to the market early and spend some time to relax on croissants and coffee. The Pézenas market is a market on foot and it is important to take your time and enjoy products and the atmosphere. At the north end of the market, in addition to the sellers of fish, Italian cheese stands and products stand there are stalls that sell prepared foods - chicken rotisserie, sausages cooked paella, seafood and more. We see that it is a perfect way to end our visit to the market by buying one of these prepared foods, bread, a bottle of wine in the direction of a park nearby for an impromptu picnic. Life is rarely better than this.

  • The French really know how to put on a Farmer's Market, compared to us in the states! Charcuteries, pizzarias, butchers, farmers and florists selling their wares to put on a feast that's fit for a king...  more »
  • Terrific market for food and clothing. A pleasure to peruse the stalls and buy things :)
  • Good store overall, clean and pleasant for travelling, but against zero for the butchery, almost non-existent and proposed meat seem of poor quality and badly cut.

  • The store is very well kept, the home is very cool and good WIFI access practice, except between noon and two: the network is overloaded.
