Reserve Naturelle des Sept Iles, Perros-Guirec
Categories: Wildlife Areas, Nature & Parks
The bird sanctuary and nature reserve of the Seven Islands, Reserve Naturelle des Sept Iles, is the only nesting spot in France for the gannet and in the world for many types of puffin. You can also see other breeds, such as gulls, shags, common murres, fulmar boreals, common terns, oystercatchers, and kittiwakes. The on-site museum immerses you in the natural habitat of birds and marine life as well as different bird songs. The station house is also not far from the shore with a welcome center providing interactive environmental education. Ronan Le Manac'hThe largest French reserve of seabirds. The visit of the archipelago is a staple of the pink granite coast. Best time in May June and at low tide for the observation of the seals.show original
Gilles POMELLEThings to do in May and at low tide for the chance to see seals. The site is superb. You can see the birds of very close.show original
Laura UboldiGreat experience!!! With the ship approaching the island first and gradually discovers that white BLOB on the top is actually a colony of thousands of seabirds. Hundreds flying over the boat and their cries and plain flights are awesome. Resumed after a few minutes browsing on a small rock we see the first seal placidly in the Sun heats up, raise your head for a look and quiet returns to slumber. We meet other and it really is an emotion! We continue towards the coast and return to the port. Unfortunately, the comment is only in French. Really recommendshow original
