  • This is an intriguing and interesting place, in the middle of a very nice forest. Seeing the place out of activity nowadays, it can be hard to figure how relevant it was for the local economy and gene...  more »
  • As a result of our unusual night in a Treehouse nearby, we had the pleasure of visiting the reconstitution of this steel site so informative and so well done. The place is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!

  • We have visited this site in the heat but we survived because there are a lot of cool buildings in the course! Choose rather the guided tour, same price as the free visit for information really accurate that we retain and make us really live the life of this village, steel activity, the lives of workers and their families with a lot of documents, objects, houses for workers, school, Chapel, in short an entire economy, an entire town restored by an association. After the guided tour, you can extend the tour by quietly taking over all places visited and explained by the guide. The guide we had was very effective, but very stressed, with a very strong, somewhat unpleasant voice and too many gestures and a little tendency to infantilize 'his' public! But maturity will come and experience will make his office. Note one thing, the interview with the mascot of the site: Dorothy! I tell you no more, you can meet her if you go to the Forges.
