An extraordinary underground place worth visiting. Visits are organised in order of arrival at the cash register. We were there at 1: 30 p.m., departure at 14:15 (predict so the wait between when you purchase your tickets and the moment where you get off). Our return, shortly after 3 pm, the world on-site had been multiplied by two, the crowded parking lot... Choose off-peak hours during busy tourist :-)

Magnificent cave. Visit of one hour guided with animations. It's quite cold so plan what to cover. Busy days a visit is scheduled every 15 minutes, so the wait isn't too long.

Between 25 and 45 meters under the ground you can visit the caves of tourtoirac... we'll explain when and how these caves have been discoveries. Very friendly staff. Free for children under 6 years and 8euros and some for adults. The prices are so affordable. Easy to park. Departure every 20 minutes approximately.

I love this anyway, but fantastic natural beauty and one of the most accessible cave's I've been too. Excellent, well recommended.

Great caves. Not claustrophobic. Children enjoyed it

Very nice to see if you havent seen a cave before. The English tourguide is a bit boring and her pronouncements are a bit broken English. Tour was way too long and not everything was interresting. Price is good. € 8,20 for a tour per person.

Probably the only truly wheelchair accessible cave, this under ground stream was discovered only recently (1995) and opened to the public a couple of years later. This has allowed the management of the cave to put in place strict sustainability regulations in place from the beginning. So no late 1800 graffiti here, and infrastructure that makes it probably the only truly wheelchair accessible cave. That said, the cave does have its share of real attractions, it was formed by a small underground river forming a tunnel like space. The limestone shapes are very varied, including some eccentrically sideways growing ones. It is a relatively small and therefore intimate cave that can be visited as part of a (one hour) tour only. It is not the ‘most impressive’ or ‘largest, highest, deepest of anything’ but within half an hour of Hautefort a very interesting way to spend an hour or two. Pick-nick space available outside.

way to busy and parking possibilities were very limited.
