  • Despite that we are going a little before the season and it was difficult to find personnel on the site since he was busy overseeing the restoration of the Tower, then still it's the most beautiful castle we visited in this region. Well it still takes a good imagination since it is a ruin, but nevertheless we liked it much. The way to get there is beautiful. However the village toilet was not clean.

  • Sadly the castle was closed on Mondays in October but it was lovely seeing it from outside and a very interesting little village.
  • This castle have been full would be a marvel to visit it, unfortunately this very ruined and only retains some external structure, although if you are in penne ever visit it now yes or if step you do some legs that never goes bad, well highlight the views that there is from the, do a few pictures and especially abroad , since inside you so you must imagine more than nothing, and little more that if the set of penne if it is worthwhile to give a tour of the town since it is very nice

  • So, as much as I would like to rate this higher, hard facts need to be told. (as of August 2016) The castle is in an extremely poor state, and, seeing as they are reconstructing it with medieval means, it will stay that way for many years to come, so I didn't think it was really that impressive. The view however, is definitely worth it (top of a cliff) , as long as you're not expecting to see even half a medieval castle still standing. THAT BEING SAID. The medieval village under the castle is definitely very impressive and there are some nice gift shops there, including a woodworker who does some interesting necklaces. (really, go and check it out) All in all its a very rustic place that fits in well with the medieval atmosphere, and even if the castle itself isn't too interesting, the village more than makes up for it.
  • The village is on a hill over looking a gorgeous valley, with a spectacular castle ruin on a cliff. The people are friendly and the historic plaques make for incredibly interesting reading. A great stop for everyone!
  • After having sky-strings, we went to Penne. Certainly smaller than strings and less known, but even prettier. The village is beautiful with its alleys and its steepest landscape. The visit to the castle is very well made, and it has had a very nice time. Special mention to our guide who was able to convey his passion for this village.

  • The important thing to be at the end of the world. The silence, the old stones... An atmosphere of reverence. I loved.

  • Impressive castle that sits proudly on its rocky drop. Well there are a lot of wall, but you will have a nice view from the towers still standing. Stonemasons are working to rebuild the site. A good time to spend. 5 euros for adults.
