In a beautiful environment, on a Rocky Hill, a medieval castle in reconstruction following the techniques of middle age. A huge construction site with limited resources. The medieval festival was disappointing because the history of the castle is not highlighted

We cross the picturesque and beautiful village before you go up to the Castle (stroller refrain). We were alone on the opening morning, we have even more enjoy this beautiful castle in restoration and the beautiful view. We admired the people who work for restore, including the Stonecutters, with the methods of the time. Kudos to them for this gigantic work! and we were happy to participate somehow in this restoration by paying the entrance (€ 6 for adult). Nice to do that I recommend

So, as much as I would like to rate this higher, hard facts need to be told. (as of August 2016) The castle is in an extremely poor state, and, seeing as they are reconstructing it with medieval means, it will stay that way for many years to come, so I didn't think it was really that impressive. The view however, is definitely worth it (top of a cliff) , as long as you're not expecting to see even half a medieval castle still standing. THAT BEING SAID. The medieval village under the castle is definitely very impressive and there are some nice gift shops there, including a woodworker who does some interesting necklaces. (really, go and check it out) All in all its a very rustic place that fits in well with the medieval atmosphere, and even if the castle itself isn't too interesting, the village more than makes up for it.

The village is on a hill over looking a gorgeous valley, with a spectacular castle ruin on a cliff. The people are friendly and the historic plaques make for incredibly interesting reading. A great stop for everyone!

This village is a beauty where we have the feeling that the time is stopped. It is loaded with history by trampling its cobblestones and each streets hide an authenticity. The castles worth a visit because the view is amazing and a big congratulations to the owner. I am pleased to participate in workshops on the way age thanks to volunteers who pass on their passion. A Council not pass in the region without if stop.

To discover the old construction methods by participating in the medieval shipyard. An exceptional site! A very beautiful village.
