  • Erected over the centuries, the castle of Pau is the brand of successive styles: medieval, Renaissance until the revival style by Napoleon III who is particularly engaging and interesting. The Castle, fully refurnished, contains only few original parts. It has no less beautiful objects, paintings, bronzes and tapestries who participate in the worship to the "good King Henri" whose memory is ubiquitous in these walls where he was born. Attention: visits are only a guide and therefore has to inquire about schedules taking into account closing (variable according to the seasons) at the lunch hour.

  • Wonderful Castle view on the chain of the Pyrenees. Too bad the guide was in a hurry visit guided clear. I am reassured by the comment of Michel, who fell on a passionate guide. I recommend.

  • A very pleasant to visit Castle because there are not only architecture but also furniture and especially monumental tapestries. The guided tour is a real plus.
