  • A very nice collection of sculpture, in a pleasant place. The garden is especially well appointed. The staff is very friendly. One more, the Museum is free for less than 26!

  • This small museum is worth while visiting. The art work is interesting (only sculptures) but what was really nice was the museums location and the fact that the artist himself had lived and worked in this small house and studio. Unfortunately, however, there is not very much evidence of Zadkines' everyday life and work in the museum (like a kitchen or his studio).
  • Petit musée sympathique et discret. Agréable sans plus.
  • A museum for wandering. Zadkine Museum is a great place for me to wander and meditate. It remains a little secret. I often contemplate the statues in the garden
  • Musée Zadkine, between Montparnasse and the Luxembourg Garden, is dedicated to the work of the Russian-born sculptor Ossip Zadkine, who has lived and worked in the House and workshops from 1928 to 1967. With that of Antoine Bourdelle, is one of the only studios of sculptors who were able to be preserved in Paris. It is a testimony to the flourishing artistic Montparnasse District frequented by Modigliani, Soutine, Foujita, Chagall, Kisling, lightweight, Lipchitz, Picasso and Henry Miller. The 70 works shown are representative of wealth and the artistic evolution of the sculptor: first sculptures carved in wood and stone, Cubism, neo-classicism revisited, lyricism. You can also admire works by his wife, Valentine Prax. The course of the visit unfolds around the garden that has been redesigned on the occasion of the renovation of the Museum.
