  • With luck I entered this building an hour before closing, once I was down and I didn't have the opportunity to continue the entire tour. The garden of meditation was charming, a tribute to ispiraglio and to his Idea.

  • A building with a beautiful architecture and that sits just behind the military school. Is also place of exhibitions as well as the headquarters of one of the most important UN organisations responsible for the children of the world.

  • Paris is the headquarters of UNESCO, the Organization of United Nations, specialized in the fields of education, science and culture. A tour of this famous building by its architecture allows to discover hundreds of works of art offered by Member States: ancient mosaic, painting of Picasso, sculptures by Calder... and the Japanese garden. International conferences and exhibitions are regularly organized. We can eat on the 7th floor with view of the Invalides and the Eiffel Tower.

  • Architecture is a nice example of 1950's with the use of materials such as concrete and glass. The exterieur and interior of the building hasn't changed a lot. The Japanese garden of Peace is a marvel! The square of Tolerance donated by Israel is worth a visit. "Since wars begin in the minds of men, it is in the minds of men that the defenses of peace must be constructed." Also a must are the pieces of art inside, such as a huge wall covering Picasso and a Miro, and in the garden the moving sculptures by Calder.
  • Great architecture and a place full of historical information. I loved the Japanese garden
  • Cultures of the world are constantly looked into in this building, as its seal of "world heritage site" gives local spaces much more global influence. A nice building from the 1950s and you can tell the UN doesn't spend a whole lot to modernize as basically everything is still like it was. You could say it's historical in that sense 😍
  • One of the most important departments of world
  • UNESCO should stand for Unelected Nobodies Expressing Stupid Decisions Outrageously. They are one of the most Anti Semitic organizations that exist in today's world. They will stop at nothing to try and distort the truth about the Jewish people's connection to Israel, Jerusalem, The Western Wall, Temple Mount or anything else they can make up. This organization needs to be disbanded.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
