  • It is located at the intersection of a Decamanus and a Cardo, in the center of the Roman camp of general Labiénus who came with 4 legions to crush the Gauls from the general Camulogène in 52 BC on the orders of Caesar. Built in Gothic flamboyant in the 16th century on 2000 m 2 70 m long, 20 m wide 30 m high, she succeeds to a church of the 13th century which remains only 3 columns and one of the 10th century, of which nothing remains. This 1st Church had been built by Eudes the Falconer comrade in arms of the count Eudes of Paris who defeated the Vikings for the 1st time in Paris, the site of the Chapel St Pierre of the Woods where St Merry was buried. It has the oldest Bell in Paris 1331, the oldest stoup (given by Anne of Brittany) and the first skylight in Europe or even the world. Built on the plans of Paris ND she is nicknamed our Lady little. The works of art it contains his countless: Van Loo, Vien, Chassériau,... and of course St Merry painted by Vouet, one of his masterpieces. The organs were made by the brothers Hemann, but Cavailli-Col and others embellished it. The devil hides in this Church through a statue of Baphomet on the entrance porch and a negative pentacle above a rosette. Many concerts are held in this church and free guided tours after concerts 1 and 3rd Sunday afternoon of each month.

  • It is regarded as one of the most beautiful in Paris. Gothic-flamigero style. It was built in the 16th century over a more ancient Church. Because of their similarity, it is known as "the small Notre Dame". It is located in the number 76 of the Rue Verrerie, in District 4, very close to the Centre Pompidou. It has the oldest Bell in Paris. It is worth to see his pulpit and organ. Saturdays are held concerts within it. We were lucky to be able to visit it while there was an exhibition of Alejandro Tobon. Part of it is a little dilapidated while they restored it. Part of its charm lies in it.

  • Do not rely quite dark outside, and enter to be charmed by the greatness of the nave and the splendid stained-glass windows. Currently, an installation of Alejandro many that mixes nature to the sacred.

  • Pretty neat old church. Not nearly as busy as the more well known churches, so it's a good place to take a look around.
  • One of rare church in Paris with Saint Eustache where you can hear contemporary shows and drink local beer inside.
  • Classical music concert, just came in from the street. This is Paris.
  • Really cool church. Recently went to a very cool art exhibition here. It really suits the feeling of this area of Paris.
  • Note the gargles.

Where to stay in Paris

Each of the city’s 20 arrondissements, or districts, has a personality all its own. If you prefer high-end accommodations and to be in the middle of the action, look for lodging in the 1st through the 4th arrondissements. For more affordable lodging and access to major metro lines, try the 12th. The Oberkampf area of the 11th arrondissement has an edgier, more hip vibe. For easy access to tourist sites,  the 16th is within a stone’s throw of the Arc de Triomph and the Eiffel Tower, and the 17th is within walking distance to the Champs-Elysées. Avoid the 18th, 19th, and 20th, because these can be dangerous, especially if you’re not familiar with the city.
