  • Visited this beautiful gothic Tower, with a height of 52 meters, after recent restoration it looks somewhat artificial crowns the lonely tower top. the statue of Saint James of the sculptor Shen'on. But the tower was not always alone, in the old days it was the hugest Bell Tower of the Church, which occupied the entire area of the current cozy square surrounding the tower it was Saint-Jacques-de-la-Boucherie is an ancient Church in Paris, located at the intersection of main roads, including the road to the South, the trail of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela shrine located in Spain. Donate to the Church wealthy butchers, rich bourgeois. Here is buried the famous Alchemist Nicolas Flamel, miraculously survived and headstone with an inscription with the name of famous Church of the XVII century the great mathematician Blaise Pascal, who has climbed to the top of the tower and there tested their discoveries about gravity and Earth emptiness. It is said that it was here that he came up with his hydraulic press Tower. Recommend to visit after a walk on the Rivoli.

  • Was doing a walk following the suggestions of a book, when I spied the Tower from afar (outside of course). I couldn't resist the curiosity and went to check it out. It's really well done, it is very high, but obvious near the exaggerated monuments here in Paris she doesn't stand out. It was not possible to climb (it was closed-winter), but only around the square around it has been great! Recommend!

  • Oh mon dieu. Way 2 spooky 4 me. Almost 3 spooky 5 me
  • Lovely little garden surrounding the tower. Was closed when I got there. But beautiful all the same! ;)
  • Sauron no longer lives here... Disappointed
  • A beautiful Jardin located just off rue de Rivoli. This is a great place to stroll, picnic, or sit and read a good book. Don't miss the flowering trees on a sunny spring day, they're spectacular!
  • Nice little park. An interesting monument.
